Four new beers have just been tapped at The Filling Station Microbrewery in Traverse City; Mitchell Creek Bourbon Porter aged in Grand Traverse Distillery Bourbon Barrels, T.C. Cherry Stout, Omena Bay IPA, and Vienna Lager! Check out the Ales By The Rails Summer Concert Series and take in great live music outside on the deck every Wednesday through Sunday.
Now that boating season is in full swing, it’s a great time to dock on Round Lake at the Bridge Street Taproom and the Lake Charlevoix Brewing Company. Enjoy live music along with a great craft beer for lunch or dinner featuring locally sourced pub fare and fill a howler or growler to go!
Congratulations to Sam Merchant of Kingsley & Kym Dowlan of Traverse City, they both won Cherry Festival Paddle for Pints tickets on the Brew Crew Page. The pub-crawl floats are sold out for the season but we still have free tickets for two more in July & two more in August.
Raise a glass to July because it's Michigan Craft Beer Month! Officially recognized by the Michigan State Legislature, July is the perfect time to support Michigan's growing craft beer industry. Michigan is now ranked #5 in the nation in number of overall breweries per state. Visit Michigan brewpubs and microbreweries, ask for Michigan craft beer at retail outlets and restaurants or at local summer festivals in celebration of Michigan, the Great Beer State.
The 18th Annual Summer Beer Fest in Ypsilanti is coming up on July 24th & 25th. The oldest of the Michigan Brewers Guild's four annual festivals, this classic summer beer fest features over 100 Michigan breweries. Friday tickets are still available but Saturday is sold out.
Tickets also just went on sale for The Michigan Brewers Guild U.P. Fall Beer Festival on Saturday, Sept 12th in Marquette. Theses festivals usually sell out so get them while you can.
